You can lick all of them.
What happens after you do isn’t part of the question.
I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy (cis he/him). I also have a big, blue username.
If I was a character in Danganronpa, my talent would be The Ultimate Loser and I’d be the first character killed in the murder game.

Ha! I don’t even have a house!
Like those things aren’t capable of the same shit?
So he can tell women how he will give them babies or horses.
“Introducing Google Pets”
Noooooooo!!!
I’ve used an LLM chat bot to play D&D with and it worked pretty well. At least for running the game and making shit up based on the campaign I wrote it to run. It wasn’t really much different than playing with real people; not least of all because it wasn’t perfect. It would make mistakes, just like a real person. It would misinterpret the rules, like a real person.
So I think this kind of “AI” could be used pretty well for games. However, from how these major companies have been using it, it won’t. Because they’re gonna try to get the entire fucking story written by it, and that’s when it’ll fuck up.
It’s decent at making up new shit on the fly creating dynamics never really found in video games, but it isn’t always necessarily congruent or logical. A game like Dwarf Fortress could benefit from it, but a game like The Last of Us would suffer from it.
Say what you will about his lack of robot body; but if had been using a normal automatic instead of an old school revolver, he could have put two trackers on the suspect.
I think the term cyborg is reserved for actual replacement parts or implants. Because if you count Hawking using his chair, you’d have to conclude that whatever caveman that first used a tool is the real first cyborg.
hearing colour might be cool
You could just do LSD to get temporary synesthesia for that. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve been ready to completely swap my body for a fully cybernetic shell ala Ghost in the Shell since, well, Ghost in the Shell.
Use a speed test site?
Also: depending on the model of your TP-Link router you may be able to flash the firmware to use OpenWRT. My first time using it was with a TP-Link router; it just didn’t have every feature.
Steam and the occasional torrent is really the only time I see anything using my full internet speeds, though. But those are also used for extremely large downloads; many times larger than a streaming video.
Someone linked a list of all the patents Pokemon Company specifically holds and the very first one was “creature breeding based on good sleep habits.”
“Model collapse” is just a fancy way of saying “our stupid ideas are bad and nobody wants them.”
I saw something where they gave their kid a pager instead of a phone so they could still be told when to come home but couldn’t waste time fucking about online.
I thought that might actually be pretty effective except for the fact that the kid could easily just ignore your pages.
“Align your chakras, warm up your crystals, pray for the summer and winter solstices, wait until the stars and planets are aligned but Mercury is also in retrograde…”
Sure but how do I share that with everyone else when I come up with a banger of a prompt?
Garbage ads have been a thing almost since the dawn of the Internet and we found a solution to them years ago. They’re called ad blockers. If you are online and not using an ad blocker: Why? That’s like finding a $2/night hooker and not using a condom.
Now, of course, you can simply install some Libre operating system and use Lemmy, or Mastodon or whatever. But computers are so embedded into society that it is simply impossible to go without these services unless you want to get yourself isolated (and potentially in trouble with the authorities).
Lol what?
“If you don’t use Mastodon or Lemmy you might get in trouble with the law!”
You mean it’s not?
I blame profit driven SM only so far as that in an effort to appeal to a wider audience, they have succeeded and now there are even more people online using them so we actually have a closer look at reality and how there’s a shitton of people who don’t see the reality of climate change anywhere.
